Ehlers Wine & Chocolate Experience
The Ehlers Wine and Chocolate Experience tasting and tour now features specially made and handcrafted chocolates from La Forêt
Master chocolatier Wendy Sherwood worked with winemaker Kevin Morrisey to create and perfectly pair exclusive confections to accompany our estate red wines. Before opening La Forêt, Wendy trained at Le Cordon Bleu Paris and honed her craft at some of the industry’s top establishments including Patrick Roger in France and, most recently, The French Laundry in Yountville.
The chocolates include: 62% Valrhona "Satila" with Fennel; 64% Valrhona "Manjari" with Ginger and Lemongrass; 72% E. Guittard "Couché du soleil" with Rosemary and Cumin; and 85% Valrhona "Abiano" with Cocoa Nibs, each paired with one of our estate Bordeaux style wines.
The tour is offered daily at 11:00am with one day advance notice. The 90-minute tour, which includes an educational estate vineyard walk and a barrel tasting, costs $50 per person or $35 for wine club members.
