February, 2010: Todd Ramsay, of Marram Wines in Canada (Alberta/British Columbia), worked closely with the Vintage Restaurant Group to create a unique feature for the month of February. By focusing on the winery's unusual ownership and profit contribution to cardiovascular research, Marram Wines developed a partnership with the Vintage Restaurant Group to leverage the "heart healthy" month of February and Ehlers Estate wines.
It was a combination of support by all three partners that made this collaboration successful. Ehlers Estate offered a $30/case DA on the Merlot, stethoscopes for all of the servers at all of the restaurants and a large format, etched dummy bottle at each restaurant for display. Marram Wines provided critical staff training and focus for the messaging and the Vintage Restaurant Group developed a beautiful page in their menu which allowed consumers to quickly understand the entire promotion.
