2017 1886 Ehlers Estate is an impressive 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from different blocks on the property. It’s deep red-purple in color with aromas of cassis, wild blackberries, licorice, herbs de Provence, cedar and tobacco leaf.
This wine was created to reflect the uniqueness of our property. It is smooth and concentrated on the palate with flavors of ripe red fruit, cherries, cassis, and hints of smoke.
100% Cabernet Sauvignon harvested from the most elevated block on the property. This single-block Cabernet has dark layers of red and purple color. The aromas are intense with ripe red fruit character, spice rack, forest floor, wild red and dark berries, smashed rocks, bay leaves and black olives.
Deep garnet-purple layers show in this outstanding blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The wine is very intense in aromas, showing Asian spice mix, violets, dark berry jam, black olives, sweet cherries, sage, and a deep long minerality.
The wine exhibits dusty aromas of dark and red berries, dry herbs, and spices in deep dark garnet. Black pepper and cedar, with hints of cherries, round out the nose. The first sip is earthy, mineral with pencil shaving and dust. Blueberries and dark chocolate accompany the long after taste.
Deep, vibrant purple color with aromas of cassis, raspberries, strawberry compote, and dry herbs. Oak notes of mocha, smoke, nutmeg, and sweet spices accentuate the bouquet. This wine is full-bodied, with bright acidity and firm tannins.
